Human Resources Coordinator

My client is a family owned union electrical contractor specializing in large-scale commercial construction projects Position Summary: The HR Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the Human Resources function by managing employee onboarding, benefits administration, compliance documentation, and day-to-day HR operations. This position ensures accurate recordkeeping, regulatory compliance, and a positive employee experience while providing administrative and operational support across HR and Finance functions. Onboarding & Employee Administration Coordinate and administer the new hire onboarding process, including orientation and completion of required paperwork (Form I-9, federal and state tax forms, direct deposit authorization, and related documentation). Ensure compliance with federal and state new hire reporting requirements. Maintain accurate and organized employee records in accordance with company policies and legal requirements. Support employee offboarding documentation and administrative processes as needed. Submit new hire reporting to State of IL and State of WI. Benefits Administration Serve as liaison with the company’s insurance broker regarding employee benefit enrollments, life event changes, and general benefits inquiries. Ensure benefit elections are processed accurately and timely. Review and reconcile monthly health insurance invoices to confirm billing accuracy.
