Outpatient Physical Therapist

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day. Three days from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM and two days from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist will evaluate all assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify treatment plans according to the patients' needs, goals, and physician direction. This role involves supervising and directing all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients while ensuring the design of functional treatment programs that enable effective community re-engagement.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
• Utilize clinical reasoning to develop treatment plans and goals tailored to patients' progression towards discharge.
• Document medical records clearly, concisely, accurately, and timely in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
• Provide education to patients, families, students, and coworkers.
• Participate in the student program with appropriate supervision and evaluations.
• Engage in professional development through continuing education and self-study.
• Maintain professional licensure and adhere to ethical standards.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 1 year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Active licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of practice.
• Previous experience with the agency is highly desired.
