Technical Operations Manager

Technical Operations Manager Leidos is seeking a customer‑focused, mission‑driven Technical Operations Manager to support NASA operations at Kennedy Space Center, FL. This onsite role requires leading technical operations for NASA communications, mission systems, and critical infrastructure, ensuring operational readiness, workforce performance, customer engagement, training, system reliability, and safety compliance while collaborating closely with engineering, operations, and NASA stakeholders. Primary Responsibilities Demonstrate operational agility by quickly responding to active operational requirements and providing efficient and effective executable work plans. Conduct regular meetings and conversations with customers regarding required work status, new project work, and real‑time system situations, as necessary to support AEGIS contract requirements and provide technical advice‑guidance. Create, oversee, and manage system‑ and operations‑specific training for technical team members; provide remedial/additional training opportunities as required. Serve in additional management duty roles to fulfill contractual operations and maintenance requirements in support of AEGIS and NASA teams. Manage technical operations personnel supporting NASA communications and mission systems. Lead troubleshooting and restoration of network and communications systems. Manage operational readiness of critical infrastructure. Oversee technical performance, staffing, and workforce development. Coordinate engineering changes and system upgrades. Support strategic planning for communications and network operations. Manage operational metrics, SLAs, and performance reporting. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related technical field and 8+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience. Able to obtain or maintain Public Trust security clearance. Practical experience in a technical operations environment focusing on network and communications systems. U.S. Citizenship and successfully pass a Federal background check. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver concise findings, reports, and briefings to customers and leadership. Ability to work collaboratively with engineering, operations, and mission support teams in a fast‑paced, safety‑critical environment. Strong leadership skills with proven experience in managing diverse operational and technical roles. Demonstrated experience leading technical teams, including assigning work, mentoring personnel, managing performance, and coordinating operational activities. Compensation and Benefits Salary range: $92,300.00 – $166,850.00. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include responsibilities, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, internal equity, market data alignment, bargaining agreements, and applicable law.
