About the Role

The Company is in need of a Vice President of Construction to take the helm of its residential housing portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end management of all multi-family and single-family development projects, ensuring they are in full compliance with Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) regulations. This executive role demands a leader with a minimum of 10 years' experience in large-scale residential construction management, a proven track record with HUD-insured or HUD-funded projects, and at least 5 years in an executive or senior management position. The VP of Construction will lead the construction operations and project management teams, oversee multi-million dollar budgets, contracts, and master schedules, and drive value engineering to optimize costs while maintaining high project quality. Applicants for the Vice President of Construction position at the company should hold a Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field, and possess strong negotiation, financial forecasting, and strategic planning skills. The role requires a candidate who can effectively manage construction teams, control budgets, and ensure that all projects meet the company's high standards. The VP will also be involved in selecting and negotiating contracts with general contractors and vendors, as well as collaborating with executive leadership on land acquisition and design phases.
