Staff Accountant

Accredo Packaging is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our dynamic team. Location: Sugar Land, TX Type: Onsite – 5 days a week – no remote or hybrid option. Key Responsibilities Manage monthly and year‑end general ledger (G/L) closing for multiple locations, including preparing, reviewing, and posting journal entries. Ensure transactions comply with company policies, procedures, and current accounting standards. Prepare working papers, schedules, and reports to support accounting activities. Perform balance sheet and income statement account reconciliations. Analyze business drivers and report findings to management. Handle treasury functions such as ACH payments, wire transfers, and positive pay uploads; resolve exceptions daily. Assist with other accounting and finance tasks as assigned. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (preferred) or Associate degree in Accounting with 3+ years of relevant experience. Skills & Experience: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide recommendations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and professionalism. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (VLOOKUP required).
