About the Position

Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00-07:00 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Cardiac experience - Strong critical care experience Description: This position requires cardiac experience. Strong critical care skills are essential. Advanced skills in PA catheter and hemodynamic monitoring are preferred. Experience with IABP, Impella, and CRRT is a plus. Procedures performed include central line insertion, Swan insertion, and intubations. The unit consists of 32 beds with a patient ratio of 2:1. Student nurse externs are available as techs. A unit secretary is available Monday to Friday from 07:30 to 15:30. The unit is equipped with Hill-Rom beds and Phillips telemetry monitors. The documentation system used is Meditech. Staffing schedules are created in 4-week periods, requiring 3-4 weekend shifts. Floating to other units may be necessary based on census needs. There are no specific patient experience requirements. The unit is recognized for awards, including the Daisy Award. Teamwork and engaged staff contribute to a supportive work environment. There is a growing cardiogenic shock program with specialized providers. This unit is dedicated to providing excellent care to a specific patient population.
