Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – ER

Location: Syracuse, NY
Job Type: Travel / Contract
Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks

Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for an Emergency Department (ER) assignment in Syracuse, NY . The CNA will provide patient-centered care while supporting nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure patients’ comfort, safety, and dignity.

Responsibilities

Assist nurses with basic patient care and activities of daily living (ADLs).
Monitor and record patients’ vital signs and promptly report changes to nursing staff.
Assist with patient transfers, positioning, and transportation within the Emergency Department.
Collect and document patient information and specimens as directed.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient-care environment.
Assist with stocking medical supplies and preparing treatment areas.
Provide compassionate and respectful care to patients throughout the assignment.
Follow facility policies, safety procedures, and infection-control standards.

Required Qualifications

Active New York CNA certification .
Previous Emergency Department/ER experience required.
Ability to work night shifts and variable schedules.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care.
Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift, transfer, and assist patients as needed.
Commitment to completing the full 13-week assignment .
