Financial Aid Advisor

Your Role Key responsibilities include: Providing outstanding customer service to students, parents, faculty, staff, and the public via in-person, phone, and email advising. Managing assigned program areas such as Satisfactory Academic Progress, Professional Judgments, Outreach and Communication, and Education Abroad. Assisting in determining financial aid eligibility and resolving student eligibility issues. Processing awards and reviewing Professional Judgment appeals. Leading and participating in outreach events. Working from home with occasional evening and weekend hours, including blackout vacation days during peak processing times. About You The company is looking for a customer-focused individual who works cooperatively, adapts quickly, accepts responsibility, and maintains high accuracy in a high-volume environment. Required skills and qualifications include: Associate degree or experience in a student or customer-facing position. Proficiency in providing high-level customer service via phone, in person, email, and virtual appointments. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple competing tasks. Strong listening, communication, public speaking, and presentation skills. Proficiency with standard office software. Sound judgment in making difficult decisions. Experience working with individuals and families from diverse backgrounds. Preferred qualifications include experience in a college/university financial aid office, a bachelor's degree, Spanish language proficiency, and website and social media management experience. Compensation & Benefits Salary commensurate with experience, with a budget maximum of $44,192. Non-exempt status eligible for overtime.
