Pay Range: ($43-$45) on an hourly basis

Note - Relocation allowed.

Job Summary:

• We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Controllership team.
• Will be responsible for owning key aspects of the month-end close process, including journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, and financial reporting.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong experience with:
  • Journal Entries
• Month-End Close
• General Ledger Accounting
• Account Reconciliations
• Solid understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.
• Experience using Ora_cle Fusion or another ERP system (SAP, NetSuite, Ora_cle EBS, MS Dynamics, etc.).
• Advanced MS Excel skills (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, INDEX-MATCH).
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA or progress toward CPA.
• Experience in the Media, Entertainment, or Studio industry.
• Knowledge of Revenue Recognition and Participation Accounting.
• Experience supporting financial audits and close reporting processes.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, review, and post accurate journal entries during the month-end and quarter-end close.
• Ensure journal entries are coded correctly to the appropriate general ledger accounts.
• Perform monthly balance sheet and general ledger account reconciliations.
• Investigate, analyze, and resolve account variances and discrepancies.
• Support revenue recognition and other recurring accounting activities.
• Process and reconcile cash receipts and Accounts Receivable transactions.
• Prepare AR aging reports and ensure accurate cash application.
• Support month-end close schedules and reporting activities.
• Assist with audit requests by maintaining organized accounting documentation.
• Prepare and distribute financial reports including Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reports.
• Collaborate with Finance, FP&A, and cross-functional business teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and maintain strong internal controls.
