Category Manager - Sterilization & Cross-linking

Zimmer Biomet seeks a Category Manager to lead global sourcing and commercial strategy for sterilization and cross-linking services across its medical device portfolio. The role involves developing supplier strategies, managing capacity and regulatory requirements, and driving cost and innovation initiatives across multiple sterilization technologies.

Responsibilities

• Execute global multi-year category strategy and sourcing roadmap for sterilization and cross-linking services
• Lead sourcing events, supplier selection, commercial evaluation, and negotiations across multiple sterilization modalities
• Build category intelligence from spend, demand, capacity, and supply-market data to inform recommendations
• Develop total-cost models and negotiate commercial terms covering pricing, capacity, service levels, and performance metrics
• Identify and mitigate supply risks including single-source exposure, capacity constraints, and geopolitical factors

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, science, or related field
• 5+ years of strategic sourcing, category management, or supplier management experience
• Demonstrated success developing category strategies and delivering measurable business value
• Experience in regulated manufacturing environments (medical devices, pharmaceuticals, aerospace)
• Strong commercial, analytical, and project management capabilities
• Proficiency with ERP systems, spend analytics, Excel, and presentation tools
• Direct experience with contract sterilization or validated outsourced processing services (preferred)
