Material Handler

Warehouse PositionPosition Responsibilities:Load and unload trucks or from pallets, trays, storage racks, conveyors, and machinesEnter transactions into computer system or catalogMaintain First In, First Out (FIFO) inventory systemEnsure all counts and shipping documents accurately represent material and product being shipped and received before signingSort and place materials in predetermined storage locations in the warehouse or plantReport material shortages to purchasing agent or warehouse supervisorEnsure all overnight and ground shipments are processed dailyAccurately count and record material and product during physical inventories and auditsComply with all safety rules, policies and procedures, maintain neat and orderly work areasOther duties as assignedQualifications:High school diploma or GED required0 – 1+ years of general work experienceAbility to read and understand the English languageMust possess good communication skills, both written and verbalMust possess basic math skillsAbility to learn to operate powered lift trucks and other material moversStrong organizational skills, detail orientedMust be a team player and maintain appropriate attendance standardWork Environment:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Frequent lifting/pulling/pushing product with approximate weight of 160 pounds. Frequent and immediate reaching to perform job duties. Frequent squatting or bending to perform various duties as assigned.
