Senior Manager Automation

Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc.

Senior Manager leading an automation engineering team at a biopharmaceutical manufacturing site in Rensselaer. Responsible for overseeing technical staff, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring reliable operation of automated systems supporting GxP-regulated manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and develop team of Automation Engineers and Supervisors
Manage priorities, delegate workload, and ensure accurate, timely project delivery
Oversee vendor relationships supporting automation systems and infrastructure
Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, Validation, Engineering, and IT teams to resolve issues
Lead projects improving reliability, efficiency, and operational performance of automated systems

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Automation, or related technical field
5+ years supporting automation, controls, or manufacturing systems
3+ years managing teams of eight or more employees
1+ year hands-on experience designing, installing, or troubleshooting automated control systems
Experience leading technical projects from planning through implementation
Background working in regulated environments with quality and compliance requirements
Strong organizational skills managing multiple competing priorities
