Financial Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY:Upholds FCB’s mission, by analyzing financial status through the collection, monitoring, and studying of data. This position requires a thorough knowledge of standard accounting systems, generally accepted accounting principles, and financial analysis.ACCOUNTABILITIES:Financial Analysis & Performance Reporting: 45%Identifies financial trends and performance by comparing actual results to plans and forecasts, and prepares and reconciles reports across multiple categories for distribution to management at all levels.Participates in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement preparation for management, outside auditors, and regulators.Accounts Payable: 45%Processes and maintains the accounts payable invoice system for paying invoices by verifying transaction information, scheduling and preparing disbursements, and obtaining authorization of payment.Maintains a database of vendors including payment information and generates 1099s for vendors.Coordinate the collection and organization of vendor due diligence documentation, including financial statements and SOC reports, and assist in review to support accounting and compliance requirements.Processes and maintains the prepaid and auto entry system of accounting.Other: 10%Performs back up to FCB’s daily cash position and daily reconciliations.Performs special projects as assigned.Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.Maintains customer confidence and protects bank operations by keeping information confidential.Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related goals, as needed.Participates in civic and community activities to generate visibility and contact for the bank.Attends mandatory compliance and security sessions.
