AP Clerk

$23 - $25 per hour

AP Clerk

Location: Charlotte, NC (Onsite) Pay Rate: $23$25/hour Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire

We are seeking a detail-oriented AP Clerk to join our client's growing team in the Charlotte area. This position will play a key role in supporting day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process high-volume vendor invoices, including coding and data entry
  • Perform 2-way and 3-way invoice matching (PO, receipt, invoice)
  • Assist with weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers
  • Maintain vendor records and respond to vendor inquiries in a timely manner
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
  • Support month-end close activities, including AP accruals and reconciliations
  • Assist with expense report processing and audit support
  • Maintain organized files and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures
  • Provide general administrative and accounting support as needed

Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  • 1+ years of Accounts Payable or accounting support experience
  • Experience working in a high-volume AP environment preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (basic formulas, data entry, lookups)
  • Experience with ERP/accounting systems is a plus (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and on a team
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
