Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced CST for a travel assignment in the CVOR unit at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. The ideal candidate will have extensive CVOR expertise, including experience with complex cardiac and thoracic procedures, and must have completed two travel assignments.

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate proficiency in scrubbing for procedures such as CABG, valve replacements, VAD insertions, TAVR, and other advanced cardiac surgeries.
• Assist with intraoperative tasks, ensuring adherence to sterile techniques and surgical protocols.
• Support the first assist role when applicable, providing additional technical assistance during procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
• Adhere to hospital policies, safety guidelines, and unit-specific protocols.
• May float to other units if needed, following appropriate procedures and standards.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid CST certification with extensive CVOR surgical experience.
• Possess BLS certification and demonstrate proficiency with hospital equipment such as Stryker systems and Cerner documentation.
• Have at least 2 years of recent CVOR experience, with a proven track record in complex cardiac and thoracic surgeries.
• Have completed two travel assignments in CVOR or equivalent settings.
• Display strong technical skills, professionalism, and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
