Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled professional with extensive experience in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) to join our dynamic team. Certification is mandatory, and candidates must possess CVOR experience along with a minimum of two completed travel assignments.

Unit Specifics

• Number of Operating Rooms: 6
• Patient Ratios: Each surgical case requires 1 scrub and 1 circulator; pump cases also require a first assist/Heart Holder.
• Staffing: 1 Unit Secretary, 1 Charge Nurse, 1 Patient Care Assistant (PCA), 1 Core Technician.
• Documentation System: Cerner
• Scrub Color: Provided by the facility.

Qualifications

Applicants must have extensive expertise and experience in the Scrub Role for the following procedures:

• Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG)
• Valve Replacement
• Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) Insertions
• Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR)
• Video-Assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery (VATS)
• Lobectomy
• Pacemaker/Automatic Implantable Cardioverter-Defibrillator (AICD) Insertions
• Septal Myectomy
• Ross Procedure
• Endoscopic Vein Harvesting (EVH)
• Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) Insertions
• Femoral Cannulation
• Circulatory Arrest

Required Certifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
• Basic Life Support (BLS)

Additional Information

The hospital will provide scrubs, and adherence to surgical attire policies is expected. Orientation will cover unit guidelines and policies. This facility is not a training site for medical staff, ensuring that surgical cases are efficient and streamlined.
