Maintenance Mechanic (Level 1, 2, or 3) – Temp-to-Hire

Location: Elgin, IL

Are you mechanically inclined and looking to grow your maintenance career with a stable manufacturing company? We are seeking Maintenance Mechanics at multiple experience levels to join a leading manufacturer of specialized cleaning products and chemical solutions used in pharmaceutical and medical environments.

We currently have openings on both 1st and 2nd shift and offer competitive pay based on experience, overtime opportunities, and the potential for permanent hire.

Available Shifts

1st Shift: Monday – Friday, 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM

2nd Shift: Monday – Friday, 1:30 PM – 11:30 PM

Overtime opportunities available.

Pay Rates

• Level 1 Maintenance Mechanic: $21.00 – $23.00 per hour
• Level 2 Maintenance Mechanic: $24.00 – $26.00 per hour
• Level 3 Maintenance Mechanic: $27.00 – $29.00 per hour

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on manufacturing and packaging equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and minimize production downtime
• Inspect equipment and identify potential maintenance concerns
• Install, adjust, and maintain production machinery
• Document maintenance activities and repairs
• Follow all safety, environmental, and quality procedures
• Support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the facility

Qualifications

Level 1

• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Maintenance experience in manufacturing, industrial, or related environments preferred
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely
• Willingness to learn and grow within the maintenance department

Level 2

• Several years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment
• Experience performing preventive maintenance programs
• Strong understanding of industrial machinery and production equipment

Level 3

• Advanced maintenance and troubleshooting experience
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Ability to diagnose complex equipment issues and perform major repairs
• Experience mentoring or assisting junior maintenance personnel is a plus
