Position Summary

The Server is responsible for providing friendly, attentive, and efficient service while creating a

positive guest experience. This position takes orders, delivers food and beverages,

communicates with the kitchen and support team, and ensures guests receive accurate, timely,

and professional service.

Key Responsibilities

● Greet guests promptly and provide friendly, knowledgeable service.

● Accurately take food and beverage orders and enter them into the point-of-sale system.

● Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, specials, and available beverage

offerings.

● Deliver food and beverages promptly and verify order accuracy.

● Monitor tables throughout the guest experience and anticipate additional needs.

● Communicate allergies, dietary restrictions, special requests, and guest concerns to the

appropriate team members.

● Work closely with food runners, bussers, hosts, bartenders, kitchen staff, and

management to support smooth service.

● Process guest checks and payments accurately when applicable.

● Maintain clean and organized tables, service stations, and assigned sections.

● Follow responsible alcohol-service procedures when serving beer or other permitted

alcoholic beverages.

● Assist with banquet, event, buffet, and special-service needs as assigned.

● Complete assigned opening, closing, cleaning, and side-work duties.

Qualifications

● Previous restaurant, banquet, hospitality, or customer-service experience preferred.

● Strong communication, hospitality, and multitasking skills.

● Ability to work efficiently and remain professional in a fast-paced environment.

● Basic math and cash-handling skills.

● Ability to learn menu items and service procedures.

● Must meet applicable food safety and alcohol-service requirements.
