Manager Nursing - Emergency Services

We’re looking for an experienced nursing leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-impact environment and is passionate about creating an exceptional Emergency Department for patients and caregivers alike.

As Nurse Manager of Emergency Department Clinical Operations, you’ll lead the 24/7 operations of your area, advancing clinical excellence, quality outcomes, caregiver engagement, and continuous improvement. You’ll build and develop strong teams, optimize resources, champion accountability, and foster an environment where caregivers are empowered to deliver outstanding, compassionate care.

The PPMC Emergency Department serves an average of 170–200 patients each day within a hospital with more than 400 inpatient beds. To support the department’s complex operational needs, the leadership team includes a Nurse Manager, three Assistant Nurse Managers, an Ancillary Staff Supervisor, and a shared ED Educator. Our Emergency Department Behavioral Health Program is led by a separate operational Nurse Manager that partners with our ED Leadership team, creating an integrated partnership that supports excellence in both emergency and behavioral health care. Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree: Nursing.
• Upon hire: Oregon Registered Nurse License.
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
• 5 years of nursing experience with progressive leadership roles.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's Degree: Related field.
• 2 years of inpatient nursing leadership experience
• Coursework/Training: Formal coursework in Management, Finance, and other administrative subjects.
• Upon hire: National Certification from a recognized professional organization in a relevant field of clinical expertise.
• Management experience.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
