Specialist-Diag Rad Physics

The instrumentation-focused Specialist works closely with Medical Physicists to ensure the highest standards of imaging quality, equipment performance, and operational reliability across multiple diagnostic imaging modalities. Primary responsibilities include acquiring comprehensive measurements of equipment operation, function, and performance. This position will have particular emphasis on Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Ultrasound (US), and Dual-Energy X-ray Absorptiometry (DXA) systems.The specialist is expected to maintain a strong working knowledge of imaging equipment, performance testing procedures, and associated documentation. Responsibilities include conducting and documenting performance evaluations; ensuring high standards of data collection, image reconstruction, and data analysis; and supporting quality control, calibration, and system optimization activities.Because performance testing and data collection must often be coordinated around clinical operations, this position requires flexibility in scheduling and the ability to work during nonstandard hours when imaging equipment is available.Successful candidates will possess a strong background in physics, engineering, computer science, or a related technical field, along with enthusiasm for working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
