Sr. Equipment Finance Asset Manager

The Equipment Finance Asset Manager Sr is responsible for managing an end‑of‑lease vendor equipment portfolio management team that maximizes the end‑of‑lease performance by administering negotiations with vendor partners and customers to secure renewal and sale opportunities. The role oversees inventory of returned equipment and repossessions to maximize gains, manages early buyout and payoff processes, ensures minimal portfolio delinquency, and directs external remarketing sources. It also supports residual value determination through detailed market research across a broad range of asset types and industries. Key Responsibilities And Duties Highly experienced in complex lease documentation, vendor program agreements, and remarketing agreements with a deep understanding of equipment lease accounting methodologies across many transaction types including FMV, TRAC, Split‑TRAC, DFL's, and loans. Expertise in preparing amortization schedules and structuring equipment leases. Possesses strong negotiation, strategic selling, and relationship management skills and fosters these attributes within the team. Effectively communicates with senior management of vendor partners and senior credit management, and influences desired outcomes with finance, operations, and originations teams. Acts as a key escalation point for internal and external customers, providing resolution on complex asset management issues with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow‑up. Continuously evaluates the portfolio to identify early sale or disposition opportunities, termination of leases, and other actions to maximize proceeds and enhance portfolio yield. Contributes to improvement of policies, procedures, and processes to enhance operational efficiency and remarketing efforts. Manages team performance through regular feedback and formal performance reviews, ensuring exceptional portfolio outcomes and fostering member engagement. Ensures satisfactory regulatory and internal compliance results. Minimum Qualifications 5 years of experience in the financial services industry. Knowledge and understanding of equipment financing, including loans and leases. Preferred Qualifications 7+ years of experience in equipment financing. Strong experience in transportation and construction domains. Prior experience with LeaseWorks or a similar platform. Educational Requirements University degree preferred. Physical Requirements Sedentary work.
