Competitive pay: $28.00 - $29.00 per hour

Great Schedule: Monday - Friday

Shift Times: 6:00am-6:00pm (Varying start times for 8 hour shifts)

High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Medical Assistant Diploma from DAPIP-accredited program

Minimum of 2 years of Medical Assisting experience in outpatient clinic setting

Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience in an OBGYN clinic

Epic Experience

BLS - Basic Life Support (American Heart Association)

Proficiency with venipuncture and blood/lab draws

Ability to assist with OBGYN procedures and women's health patient care

Ability to float to other outpatient OBGYN clinics as needed

Preferred

CMA - Certified Or Registered Medical Assistant

Responsibilities

Room patients and prepare patients for examinations and procedures.

Obtain and document patient histories, medications, allergies, height, weight, and vital signs.

Perform venipuncture, blood/lab draws, and specimen collection.

Perform urine dipstick/urinalysis, pregnancy testing, and blood glucose testing as appropriate.

Collect, label, and process urine, vaginal, and other applicable specimens.

Administer medications, injections, and immunizations within scope of practice

Set up and assist providers with OBGYN examinations and procedures, including Pap smears and other women's health procedures.

Assist with patient follow up calls and telephone triage.

Prepare exam rooms and maintain an organized, patient-ready clinical environment.

Assist with quality assurance measures, including recording QC testing or designated equipment.

Participate in daily huddles and staff meetings and identify opportunities to improve workflow.

Follow infection prevention, safety, departmental, and PPE standards.

Accurately document clinical information and patient care activities in EPIC.

Provide compassionate, professional support to women throughout their reproductive healthcare visit.

Float to other outpatient OBGYN locations as needed.
