Job Description Systems Engineer (Modeling and Simulation) Employee Owned and Best Places to Work Contractor Onsite in Huntsville, AL | Schedule: 9x80 Estimated Salary Range: $120,000 – $160,000 Systems Engineer to support the development of the Missile Defense Agency's (MDA's) Ground-Based Mid-course Defense (GMD) program on the GWS program. Responsibilities Design, develop, integrate, test, and deploy software products that support automated test and verification efforts Contribute to software development activities across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements, design, development, integration, testing, and deployment Partner with product teams to develop technical solutions that support program objectives Support Agile development activities and participate in team execution using collaboration and configuration management tools Qualifications U.S. Citizenship required by Federal Law Active Secret Clearance required Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field from an accredited institution and 5+ years of experience Experience estimating planning and scheduling algorithm development and analysis work for a technical team Recent and extensive MATLAB and Python proficiency Demonstrated ability to rapidly learn and absorb new concepts Proven experience in developing, prototyping and evaluating complex algorithms Extensive background in mathematics or science Must be able to support an in‑person/closed‑area work environment Experience with the Missile Defense Agency's Ground Based Mid Course Defense program Advanced degree in Mathematics or Physics Extensive experience leading trade studies or root cause analysis against simulation frameworks, threat models, or command and control models Experience with planning/scheduling algorithms Experience with sensor modeling, communication modeling, and/or missile modeling Battle Management or Fire Control experience Experienced with Linux, scripting and operations Benefits Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance Short-Term and Long-Term disability insurance Life insurance FSA (Flexible Spending Account) Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) 401(k) Plan with company match Tuition and Training Reimbursement Incentive Compensation #J-18808-Ljbffr
