Travel RN - ICU

American Traveler is hiring a Travel ICU RN for a night shift position requiring 1-2 years of critical care experience and IN or compact RN licensure.

Job Details

• Work in a 14-bed Intensive Care Unit within a 72-bed hospital,
• Critical Care and Progressive Care unit caring for vent-dependent patients,
• Responsibilities include vent management, IV drips, IV sedation, and occasional after-hours recoveries,
• Patient ratio of 3:1 or 2:1 depending on patient acuity, or 1:5 if floating to MS overflow/PCU,
• Monthly department volume of approximately 175 patients,
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM,
• Required to work every third weekend,
• No on-call requirements,
• Floating required to MS Telemetry unit with a 6:1 ratio,
• Uses Cerner EMR,

Job Requirements

• Active RN license (IN or Compact),
• Current ACLS and BLS certification,
• Valid driver's license required,
• 1-2 years of critical care experience required,
• Critical care skills required; ECMO and trauma ERRT experience not required,
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment,
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months,

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing services to vent-dependent and critically ill patients,
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates will not be accepted,
• RTO requests must be less than one week,
• Candidates who worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years will not be considered
