Requirements

• 1 year of CDL-A OTR experience
• No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years
• No more than 3 moving violations or 3 preventable accidents
• No excessive speeding (over 21 mph) in the last 3 years
• Must be above 23 years old at the time of applying

Vacancy description

Transport dry van loads across the country for HMD Trucking, serving the Newark, DE region. This OTR solo CDL-A opportunity emphasizes professionalism, safety and reliable pay—starting at 65 CPM with average weekly miles around 2,500.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate long-haul tractor-trailers and comply with federal, state and company regulations.
• Perform pre/post-trip inspections, maintain accurate logs, and ensure cargo security.
• Work with dispatch to manage schedules and route changes.

Drivers use modern, late-model tractors equipped with sleepers, APUs and inverters and receive in-house maintenance support. Home every two weeks and eligible for benefits (health, dental, vision, PTO, 401(k)). CDL-A and 12 months verifiable experience required.
