Key Highlights Weekly pay: $2,864–$3,092 per week Guaranteed hours: None Contract duration: Weeks (length to be confirmed with account manager) Shift: 5x8 Days (Monday–Friday) Start date: Not specified — confirm with account manager Setting: Travel assignment in a hospital radiology MRI department; Newark, NY Orientation: 8 hours First-time travelers accepted Patient population: Pediatrics through geriatrics Throughput: Typical ~20 visits per day Float: Yes (candidates may float to related MRI coverage as needed) Responsibilities Perform routine and advanced MRI examinations across brain, spine (cervical, thoracic, lumbar), MSK joints, and body regions (abdomen, pelvis, chest); include vascular MRI/MRA/MRV as indicated Prepare and administer contrast, establish IV access, and monitor patients for safe MRI exposure, following institutional safety protocols Optimize MRI sequences and image quality; apply post-processing basics and utilize PACS for image transfer and reporting workflow Adhere to EPIC charting requirements; document protocols, findings, and patient care activities accurately Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and technologists to maintain efficient patient throughput and appropriate patient positioning and safety May float to other MRI coverage areas as needed; participate in orientation and ongoing training Requirements NY State license to practice in hand at start ARRT (R) certification and MRI specialty certification BLS certification EPIC charting experience (hard requirement) Minimum 1 year MRI experience Travel experience accepted; first-time travelers welcome Able to work in a hospital setting; strong patient care and safety focus Preferred: trauma Level I/II and community hospital experience; GE MRI experience Benefits and Support Competitive weekly pay 24/7 recruiter and travel support Dedicated on-assignment support and account management 8-hour orientation provided Pre-approved time off: 1 day per contract First-time traveler friendly Extension opportunities Please note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
