For the past century, HPS has grown to deliver electrical power solutions to global markets and provides solutions for complex applications like mining, rectifier, drives, traction, wind, solar and many other electrical power applications. The world relies on HPS to continually conceive and produce state-of-the-art transformer technology. We currently have an opening for a Materials Manager. Key Responsibilities Identify efficiency improvements and cost savings. Accountable for maintaining budgets and expenses for Materials Management Team, including hiring and compensation decisions. Analyze production data and trends to forecast future demand and adjust production schedules accordingly. Responsible for the Sterling facility. Accountable to creating department goals and KPI’s managing performance to assigned goals and KPI’s. Work closely with quality to maintain quality standards and minimize defects. Ensure health and safety protocols are met by all. Train and mentor staff in Materials Management best practices and safety procedures. Share best practices amongst all North American facilities. Foster a collaborative and team‑oriented work environment to achieve Production targets and Operational excellence. Qualifications Associate’s Degree in Materials Management or simular. 6+ years of experience working in Materials Management. Familiarity with version management, development, and debugging tools. Customer‑centric focus with a proven track record of building lasting relationships. Strong coordination and deadline‑oriented skills, adaptable in leading or contributing to multiple projects concurrently. Proficient in translating market research into clear strategies for targeted segments. Proficient in Microsoft Office, ERP, analytic tools, and sound product management fundamentals.
