Pediatric Physician Opportunity

A respected healthcare organization in Martinsburg is seeking a dedicated Pediatric Physician to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a physician passionate about providing comprehensive pediatric care while also participating in academic and teaching activities.

The successful candidate will provide full-scope outpatient pediatric services for patients from birth through young adulthood and will play an active role in educating medical students, residents, and fellows within a collaborative academic environment.

Outpatient and inpatient opportunities are available.

Position Highlights

• Schedule: Monday through Friday
• Hours: 40-hour work week
• Setting: Outpatient only
• Optional inpatient participation available for interested providers
• Faculty role with teaching responsibilities

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide full-scope outpatient pediatric care for patients from birth through 24 years of age
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic pediatric conditions
• Conduct preventive care visits, wellness exams, and immunizations
• Manage an average patient volume of approximately 16–18 patients per day
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care

Academic & Teaching Responsibilities

• Participate in the education and mentorship of medical students, residents, and fellows
• Support clinical teaching initiatives within the pediatric program
• Foster a positive and collaborative learning environment

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree (or foreign equivalent)
• Completion of an accredited Pediatric Residency Program
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics
• Eligible for or active West Virginia medical license
• DEA registration required by start date
