Position Summary
We are seeking a driven and experienced Manufacturing Manager to lead our manufacturing operations. This role is ideal for a leader who thrives in a hands-on, high-accountability environment and brings a proactive mindset to managing people, processes, and performance. The right candidate will be both a strategist and a coach, able to inspire teams while delivering measurable results across safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily manufacturing operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost objectives.
• Lead and support lean manufacturing initiatives-such as value stream mapping, standardized work, kaizen events, and visual management-to streamline operations, reduce waste, and improve overall performance.
• Monitor production metrics and operational trends to guide decisions, improve efficiency, and optimize the use of labor, equipment, and space.
• Lead capacity planning efforts and support capital investment proposals by evaluating resource needs, improving utilization, and aligning manufacturing capabilities with growth objectives.
• Directly supervises production supervisors, coordinators, and manufacturing personnel.
• Develop and mentor production staff through clear communication, hands-on coaching, and training that fosters a collaborative, high-performance team environment.
• Ensure all operations comply with applicable regulatory standards, including ISO 13485 and Class 8 clean room protocols.
• Utilize ERP/MRP systems to support production scheduling, inventory accuracy, and operational planning.
• Collaborate across departments to support new product introductions, process validations, and workflow improvements.
• Promote a proactive safety culture by enforcing standards, identifying hazards, and leading employee engagement in health and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing leadership, production management, or a related operational leadership role, ideally in a regulated manufacturing environment (e.g., medical devices, pharmaceuticals, aerospace).
• Demonstrated success implementing lean manufacturing practices, including kaizen, standardized work, and other continuous improvement initiatives.
• Solid understanding of ISO 13485, GMP, and clean room operations; experience in a Class 8 environment is a plus.
• Effective leadership skills with a proven ability to coach teams, drive accountability, and build a strong performance culture.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficient with ERP systems; experience with Fishbowl is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Manufacturing, or a related technical field; equivalent experience will be considered.
• Lean Six Sigma certification or formal Continuous Improvement training is a plus.
