Rehabilitation Technician - Joliet - Physical/Occupational Therapy Position: Part‑Time, 20 hours/week. Hours: Monday‑Friday; hours vary between 7:00 am–7:00 pm; must work two evenings until 7:00 pm. Location: Joliet – Glenwood clinic. Travel: Expected to travel to other sites for coverage needs. Responsibilities Under the direct supervision of the Clinic Director, the Rehabilitation Technician will be responsible for patient care, support, and guidance. Execute plans of care under guidance of PT/OT providers. Proper setup and adjustment of exercise equipment. Assist with setup and delivery of modalities (e.g., electrical stimulation, ultrasound, hot/cold packs, etc.). Utilize appropriate educational techniques including demonstration and cueing to ensure patient understanding of exercises. Monitor patient safety and response to exercise intensity. Discuss patient performance with PT/OT provider. Clinic flow: monitor patient arrivals and start patients on time, maintain cleanliness of clinic including waiting areas and exam rooms, order supplies under direction of Manager. Front‑end tasks: check‑in, co‑pay collection, answering phones, scheduling appointments, communicating via chat regarding patient insurance benefits, scheduling management for clinicians. Qualifications CPR certification required (certification offered through Duly Health and Care). High School Diploma. Knowledge of common medical terminology and abbreviations. Understanding of principles, contraindications, and precautions in the use of therapy modalities. Ability to identify proper patient set‑up on each piece of equipment and adjust as needed. Ability to identify planes of movement and demonstrate proper exercise positioning. Team‑oriented, attention to detail, follow‑through. Problem‑solving, lateral thinking, and reasoning skills. Communication skills. Compensation Base pay range: $15.10–$22.70 per hour. Actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity.
