Facility Supervisor – Yakult USA (Georgia)

Yakult USA , the world’s leading probiotic drink manufacturer, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Facility Supervisor to join their new factory in White, Georgia (30184) . This role is essential to maintaining efficient facility operations, ensuring equipment reliability, and supporting a safe and compliant production environment.

Position Summary

The Facility Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, and compliance of all facility systems and equipment. This role leads a team of 10+ employees, coordinates maintenance activities, and ensures readiness for audits while maintaining the highest standards of safety and sanitation.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $75,000/year (Exempt)
• Shift Schedule: 1st Shift (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, includes 1-hour unpaid lunch), Monday – Saturday (flexibility required)

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• 5+ years of supervisory experience
• 5+ years of facility experience in a food or beverage manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of facility systems, equipment maintenance, and operational processes
• Certified Wastewater Industrial Operator or Class III (or higher) Wastewater Operator strongly preferred
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage 10+ employees
• Experience in training, employee relations, and conflict resolution
• Excellent multitasking and time management abilities
• Facility-related licenses and certifications are a plus
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Flexibility to work varied hours, including early mornings and late nights
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

Key Responsibilities

Facility Operations & Maintenance

• Oversee daily operations of all facility equipment and systems
• Manage routine inspections and preventive maintenance programs for all plant infrastructure
• Coordinate maintenance and repair activities to ensure optimal equipment performance
• Work closely with external vendors and contractors for facility upkeep

Leadership & Administration

• Supervise and support a team of 10+ facility staff
• Conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching, and support employee development
• Manage employee attendance, timekeeping, and payroll for department staff
• Develop and implement procedures to improve operational efficiency
• Act as a liaison between the Production Director, Factory Manager, and employees

Compliance, Safety & Quality

• Ensure compliance with HACCP, SQF, FDA, and OSHA regulations
• Maintain high sanitation and workplace safety standards
• Enforce company policies and investigate workplace incidents, including workers’ compensation cases
• Communicate with regulatory agencies when necessary to ensure compliance
• Support audit readiness for third-party and regulatory inspections

Equipment & Inspection Oversight

• Coordinate equipment operations and ensure all facility systems meet inspection standards
• Conduct daily inspections and monitor performance of facility equipment
• Maintain accurate documentation for maintenance, inspections, and compliance activities

Additional Responsibilities

• Verify time sheets and Leave of Absence requests for accuracy and compliance
• Lead inventory tracking related to facility equipment and materials
• Perform other duties as assigned

Food Safety Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-operational inspections and ensure corrective actions are implemented
• Oversee preventive maintenance planning and follow-up activities
• Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and food safety procedures
• Maintain accurate, clear, and compliant documentation and records
• Report any food safety concerns, including contamination risks, pest activity, or food fraud
• Coordinate with suppliers and contractors to ensure food safety standards are met
• Train employees on food safety and evaluate training effectiveness
• Participate in food safety meetings, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Follow up on corrective actions related to audits, inspections, Critical Control Points (CCPs), and Preventive Controls (PCs)
