License Practical Nurse (LPN) - Washington Square About the Company: Central Florida Communities, Inc. (CFC) has warm, welcoming, home-inspired facilities and programs for individuals with developmental disabilities in Orange, Brevard, Lake and Seminole Counties. CFC operates three 64-bed Intermediate Care Facilities for the Developmentally Disabled (ICF/DD's): Howell Branch Court, Lake View Court and Washington Square. As a member of our staff, you will be part of one of these living centers and provide vital around-the-clock care, including nursing and medical oversight, to residents. Facility Name and Address: Washington Square 1401 North US Highway 1 Purpose: This position directly supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role helps with everyday tasks such as ADLs, including daily grooming, meal service, risk mitigation and following applicable behavioral management plans as defined by the resident individual needs. Utilizes clinical nursing competency to observe, monitor and provide care, treatment and services to residents. Performs primary nursing duties for assigned residents/shift to ensure daily, monthly, quarterly and annual nursing summaries in accordance with residents’ Active Treatment Plan. Implement administration of prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with State and clinical nursing standards. Receive, transcribe, fax orders to pharmacy and enter orders in the electronic health record. Monitor physical health of residents, relaying safety and health concerns to the Director of Nursing, physician, pharmacist and other disciplines as needed. Required Qualification: Current license in the state of Florida. Must demonstrate the ability to lift unassisted at least fifty (50) lbs. Preferred Qualifications: At least six months’ hospital or rehabilitation nursing experience preferred.
