Adam Holtquist State Farm is looking for a motivated, outgoing professional to join our team as a Sales Starter.

We are not looking for someone who wants to remain solely in an administrative or receptionist position. This opportunity is designed for someone who wants to learn the insurance business, become fully licensed, develop strong sales skills, and grow into a full sales position within our agency.

No insurance experience is required. We provide licensing guidance, training, coaching, and hands-on development to help the right person build their career from the ground up.

Licensing Requirements

Insurance licensing is required as part of your development into the sales role.

• Property & Casualty license must be obtained prior to your Day 1 start date.

• Life & Health license must be obtained within an established timeframe after onboarding begins.

• Licensing guidance, study direction, and support are provided throughout the process.

• Already licensed candidates are encouraged to apply.

What You'll Do

Initially, your responsibilities will include:

• Greet customers and provide a welcoming, professional first impression.

• Answer incoming calls and direct customer needs appropriately.

• Assist with appointment scheduling, customer communications, and follow-up.

• Maintain accurate customer information and documentation.

• Support day-to-day agency and administrative needs.

• Build relationships with prospective and existing customers.

• Begin identifying customer needs and potential sales opportunities.

• Develop leads and assist with outbound customer outreach.

• Learn how to conduct needs-based insurance conversations.

• Develop the skills to quote, present, and ultimately close insurance business.

As your licensing, product knowledge, and sales skills develop, your responsibilities will progressively shift toward greater sales activity and production.

• Willing and able to complete required insurance licensing.
