Begin an exciting contract opportunity as a school psychologist in the New London area, serving students and staff across surrounding communities for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time position (30-35 hours per week) offers a dynamic setting where your expertise in student evaluations and participation in PPT meetings will make a meaningful impact.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current Connecticut certification as a school psychologist
- Previous experience working as a school psychologist in educational settings
- Strong assessment and report-writing skills
- In-depth understanding of student development and support strategies
- Excellent communication abilities for collaborating with educators, administrators, and families
- Proven track record attending and supporting PPT/IEP meetings
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for students
- Participate in and provide input for PPT meetings, collaborating on IEPs and intervention plans
- Develop and recommend evidence-based interventions tailored to individual student needs
- Deliver consultative support to teachers, staff, and families regarding behavioral, academic, and social-emotional challenges
- Maintain thorough documentation aligned with district and state guidelines
- Stay current on best practices and legal requirements in school psychological services
- Foster positive working relationships with students, families, and school staff throughout the contract period
