Quick Facts Location: 200 Medical Park Boulevard, Petersburg, VA 23805 Start Date: 05/01/2026 Duration: May through July 2026, with potential ongoing coverage Shift: Hospital call + potential clinic coverage (varied shifts) Hours/week: Approximately 40 hours (plus call) Employment: Temporary/Locum Licenses/Certifications: Virginia medical license, DEA, OB/GYN board certification preferred Experience: Prior OB/GYN experience required, previous locum experience a plus Pay & Benefits Hourly Rate: $19.50/hour Pay package discussed upon application Benefits include: Weekly pay via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Paid sick time in accordance with applicable laws Reimbursements for licensure, certification, travel, and other eligible expenses Robust referral bonus program 24/7 dedicated support team to assist throughout your assignment What You’ll Do Provide OB/GYN care including vaginal deliveries, C-sections, suction D&C, management of ectopic pregnancies, ovarian torsion, and abnormal bleeding Manage high-risk patients alongside Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists Perform hospital-based procedures and rounding Respond to patient calls during on-call shifts with minimal callbacks Document patient encounters accurately in EPIC EMR Collaborate with surgical assistants, nurses, and hospitalist team What You Need Required: Active Virginia medical license Board-certified or eligible in OB/GYN Experience with vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and gynecological procedures Ability to work in a hospital setting with supporting staff Preferred: Local candidates highly preferred Previous locum experience helpful About the Assignment Join a leading facility in Petersburg, VA, that offers high-quality maternal and postpartum services with a supportive team environment.
