In a collaborative environment, our team members experience the professional camaraderie and mutual support it takes to keep up with the fast-paced and highly competitive demands of consulting engineering.Job Summary:The CAD Designer 1 will work with the mechanical and process engineering group and will be responsible for creating 3D models and 2D drawings of equipment and piping using AutoCAD and Plant 3D software.Responsibilities:3D modelingCreating detailed 2D schematics from 3D solid modelsFollow CAD design standards and dimensioning requirementsInterpret field sketches and notes from othersFamiliarity with chemical process equipment and pipingWork under direction of engineers and senior designersManage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, communicate openly and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment with changing prioritiesDemonstrate commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement Qualifications:Associate Degree or Certificate in Computer-Aided Design or equivalent work experience3D solid modeling using AutoCAD1-2 years of experience detailing 2D drawings using AutoCADKnowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite Perform other related duties as requiredEssential Job Duties:Office workUtilize Computer Aided Drafting & Design (CAD) software & systems including AutoCAD and AutoCAD Plant 3DEffectively communicate with clients & other staffDesign, use, and maintain file keeping systems in an up-to-date mannerSketch drawings and other engineering depictionsFacility/Field InspectingClimb stairs at client sites and in officeClimb ladders at client sitesTake detailed and accurate field measurementsAccurately complete sketches as requiredMust be able to work effectively and safely in construction and industrial environments and conditionsWork Schedule:This is a full-time position that typically works a 40-hour week.ADF Engineering is an equal opportunity employer.
