Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Embark on a rewarding opportunity supporting K-12 students in the classroom as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant. This full-time contract position is based onsite in the Fort Myers area and spans a diverse mix of elementary and middle school campuses. You’ll collaborate closely with educators and lead SLPs to provide impactful speech-language services for students with varying needs. Multiple school sites are available for assignment, ensuring variety in your daily work and opportunities to reach a broad community of students.

Your expertise and dedication will directly benefit caseloads of approximately 50-55 students. The schedule is up to 37.5 hours per week, though part-time options may be considered for exceptional candidates. Start in August 2026 and continue through the end of the school year.

What we’re looking for:

• Current, active Florida DOH SLPA license 
• Experience providing speech-language support in a school setting 
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with teachers, SLPs, families, and administrators
• Adaptability to work across multiple school locations as needed
• Proficiency in documentation and adherence to compliant therapy practices 
• Ability to manage a dynamic caseload for K-12 students

Key responsibilities include:

• Implementing speech-language treatment plans set by supervising SLPs
• Conducting screening and therapy activities
• Maintaining accurate records and reports
• Participating in intervention planning sessions
• Supporting students’ communication goals within the classroom environment

As part of this assignment, you will need to complete a fingerprinting process or verify clearance through the AHCA Clearinghouse, and secure a JLA badge prior to your start date.
