Tax Manager OpportunityA well-known, aggressive CPA firm is ready to add the next leader to the team. This opportunity is part of the firm's plan for growth and the strengthening of the public tax side of business. They are seeking a Tax Manager to oversee a team of highly motivated staff. The successful Tax Manager will have high ethical standards and make an impact on day one. This position is fast tracked to partnership. This firm offers a wonderful culture, work/life balance, generous compensation and benefit package with unlimited room for growth for the perfect incoming Tax Manager.Performance Expectations for the Tax Manager:Oversee and manage a team of highly motivated staff accountants/tax accountantsProvide tax compliance and consulting to a diverse base of clientsOversee complex tax projects for a variety of clients and diverse industriesMeet regularly with business and community contacts to maintain a network within the local marketProvide timely and complete evaluations and counseling for the staff accountantsBe a hands on leaderExperience/Qualifications for the Tax Manager:Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, Finance, or EquivalentMaster of Science and Taxation degree (highly desirable)CPA Certificate5+ years of proven experience in public accounting, in a tax supervisory roleMust have the ability to utilize firm technology to enhance client serviceMust be able to lead and motivate a team of highly motivated individuals to a final goalMust have strong multi-tasking skillsApplicants must have excellent verbal and written communication skillsCompensation for the Tax Manager:Benefits: 401k plan, health, dental, vision, paid vacation, and paid holidaysContinuing education programsFlexible schedules in order to maintain a strong work and life balanceUpward mobility into a partnership role for the right individual
