Technician, Pilot Plant II

AbbVie seeks a Pilot Plant II Technician in North Chicago to support pharmaceutical manufacturing operations. The role involves executing standard procedures, documenting processes, identifying quality issues, and collaborating with engineering teams on equipment validation and process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Learn and adhere to department policies, procedures, and current good manufacturing practice guidelines
• Identify and report quality issues; review batch records and suggest process improvements
• Inspect equipment for cleanliness and document status at process completion
• Assist engineering and validation groups with new equipment implementation
• Coordinate with warehouse for material staging and manage supply orders

Requirements

• High school diploma required; bachelor's or associate's degree in scientific field preferred
• Minimum 5 years manufacturing experience as operator or technician in pharmaceutical or similar setting
• Validation, technical troubleshooting, and document management experience
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions
• Intermediate-level math competency including decimals, fractions, and proportions
• Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and make decisions
• Basic technical or mechanical background and knowledge
