Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - LTCA

Occupational Therapist Assistant Schedule: Days: Monday - Friday Shift: 8-hour days (Times are flexible as long as consistent and communicated with DOR.) Assignment Details: Contract Length: 13 weeks Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Requirements: - 1 year of Occupational Therapist Assistant experience - Experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) or Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) - Active Occupational Therapist Assistant license Roles & Responsibilities: - Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with cognitive and/or physical functioning disorders under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist. - Administer various treatment procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, including activities of daily living (ADL) retraining, therapeutic activities, therapeutic exercises, and the use of assistive devices. - Assess patient progress and communicate with supervising Occupational Therapist to adjust treatments accordingly. - Document all required information in the electronic documentation system and maintain patient records according to company policies. - Participate in required meetings and training sessions, including patient care conferences and rehabilitation meetings. - Supervise and support students under the guidance of the Occupational Therapist.
