Occupational Therapist Assistant

Schedule: Days, 8-hour shifts

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: Not specified

Requirements:

• 1 year of OTA experience
• LTC or Rehab Experience
• COTA License

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Utilize evidence-based practices to support clinical interventions and provide skilled, medically necessary treatment to patients with cognitive and/or physical functioning disorders under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
• Administer various rehabilitation procedures, including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, exercises, and use of supportive and assistive devices.
• Assess patient progress and collaborate with the supervising Occupational Therapist to adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Document all required clinical information accurately in the electronic documentation system and maintain patient records according to policy.
• Participate in meetings related to patient care and attend required trainings and in-services.
• Supervise and support students under the guidance of the supervising Occupational Therapist.

Compliance / Notes:

• Adherence to NBCOT/AOTA and state practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics during professional practice as an Occupational Therapist Assistant.
• Active State Licensure/Registration required when applicable.
