Facility Operations ManagerLocation: Springfield, VAWorking Hours: Normal Work Hours – Monday – Friday (40 hours per week)Required Qualifications:Active Top Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a Full Scope PolyMinimum of 10 years of recent facility operations and maintenance experience as a Chief Engineer or a Facility Manager at a facility of similar or greater size (550,000 SF) and scope10 years of demonstrated experience with asset and equipment management, workflow management, and CMMS platformsExperience with the Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) approach preferredProficiency using MS Office (including MS Word and Excel) and excellent verbal and written communication skills – a short writing sample will be requiredHigh level of professionalism for client interaction and employee management/supportExperience in the transition of facilities from construction to full operations is highly desirableCurrent Certified Facility Manager (CFM), Facility Management Professional (FMP), or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus but not requiredJob Description:We are seeking a highly motivated, qualified, and experienced Facility Operations Manager for a position located in the Washington, DC area. Position required to direct and manage staff and contractors for all facility (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.) O&M, grounds, and road maintenance work. This may include:Developing, maintaining, and enforcing facility maintenance plansSupervising the work of skilled trades, general maintenance, and custodial workersPerforming facility inspections to provide comprehensive facility condition assessmentsOverseeing completion of complex infrastructure or asset repair/installation projects with in-house staff or subcontractorsPlanning work activities, developing budgets, and expending funds within established limits to meet maintenance goalsOverseeing the entry of maintenance data into a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)Serving as the on-site point of contact for formal and informal discussions with the customers with the intent to sustain customer satisfactionReviewing resources, procedures, and methods to improve operational effectiveness, utility, and efficiencyEnsuring proper staffing and continuity of supportProviding accurate and timely management and contract reportsIdentifying vendors and reviewing/approving their proposalsEnsuring the quality and safety of all provided servicesThis role involves working in secure environments in support of mission-critical operations.
