School Speech Language Pathologist - Axton, Virginia

Job Description

Step into a rewarding opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist supporting students from kindergarten through 12th grade. In this contract role, you'll work across the district and may travel between multiple sites based on caseload needs. Your work will be pivotal in helping students achieve their communication and learning goals. The position begins as soon as possible and extends through May 21, 2027, allowing for a stable and impactful commitment.

What We’re Looking For:

Active and valid Speech-Language Pathologist license issued in Virginia
Open to candidates holding CCC or CFY credentials
School-based SLP experience preferred, but all qualified candidates will be considered
Ability to serve a diverse population of students across K-12
Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Willingness to travel between school sites as needed

Your Role:

Deliver speech, language, and communication services in accordance with IEP requirements
Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and document progress
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success
Provide both direct intervention and consultative services across school sites
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to multidisciplinary teams
Maintain compliance with all relevant district protocols and state regulations
