Receptive Counseling LLC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team. This full-time, remote position offers the unique opportunity to provide essential mental health services to clients at a community health clinic located in Stockton, California. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments and ongoing evaluations of clients’ mental health needs, utilizing evidence-based practices to create tailored treatment plans.
• Facilitate individual, couples, and family therapy sessions aimed at addressing life challenges, relationship dynamics, and mental health disorders.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in accordance with HIPAA regulations and state laws, ensuring all documentation is timely and thorough.
• Engage and educate family members or significant others in the treatment process, promoting a holistic approach to therapy.
• Develop and nurture professional relationships with colleagues, including social workers, psychologists, and support staff, to foster a collaborative care environment.
• Collaborate with community organizations and support services, ensuring clients have access to additional resources as necessary.
• Act as an advocate for clients in crisis situations, employing de-escalation techniques to manage urgent mental health needs.
• Participate in ongoing professional development, team meetings, and case consultations to enhance skills and knowledge in the field.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will be working primarily with individuals, couples, and families who are experiencing a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relational conflicts. You will play a vital role in supporting clients in overcoming obstacles and building resilience, providing a safe space for them to explore and address their emotional challenges.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
• A valid California license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• Comprehensive knowledge of LMFT ethical standards, therapeutic techniques, and state regulations.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
• The capacity to remain calm and respond effectively during crisis situations, utilizing proven intervention strategies.
• Proficiency in documenting clinical notes that are precise, concise, and compliant with legal and administrative standards.
• Understanding of confidentiality protocols, including HIPAA regulations.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of clinical experience is required, candidates with experience in crisis intervention, teletherapy, or community mental health settings will be given preference. A background in trauma-informed care or work with diverse populations is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $100,000 annually, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance.
