We are seeking a Clinical Nurse IV, preferably with child and adolescent mental health experience, to join our multidisciplinary team. This position will primarily support New Day, a 15-bed inpatient unit serving adolescents in crisis with a variety of mental health diagnoses, but will be expected to work across all four units within the facility as needed.

Position Details:

• Hours: This is a 40 hour per week; 12-hour and 8-hour shift position; weekdays and weekends (preferred scheduling)
• Entity: UNC Medical Center
• Location: Butner, NC

Who We Are Looking For:

• RN with at least 18 months of nursing experience; supervisory experience preferred
• Behavioral health nursing experience (pediatric or adult) strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of pediatric patients requiring crisis stabilization and behavioral/psychosocial support

Orientation Schedule: Monday and Tuesday - In person from 8am to 5pm in Chapel Hill; Wednesday, Thursday and Friday - Virtual.

Responsibilities include clinical nursing practice, education and professional development, HR management, operational and fiscal management, and research and performance improvement.
