Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Tech

Location: Mission Viejo, California

Duration: 13 Weeks (Contract, with possibility to extend)

Shift Options: 4x10s or 5x8s (based on clinician preference)

Start Time: Variable between 7:00 AM - 9:00 AM

Pay Rate: $2,250 - $3,100 per week (based on experience)
Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Tech to join a high-performing acute care hospital. This role primarily focuses on PET imaging, with occasional support in Nuclear Medicine. The ideal candidate will have strong PET experience and thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Responsibilities:

• Perform PET and Nuclear Medicine imaging procedures per physician orders
• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals safely and accurately
• Operate PET/CT and Nuclear Medicine equipment (Siemens experience preferred)
• Ensure proper patient positioning, monitoring, and care during procedures
• Maintain accurate documentation using electronic medical records (Epic)
• Adhere to radiation safety standards and quality control protocols
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams
• Float to Nuclear Medicine department as needed

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• At least 6 months of PET experience (mandatory)
• First-time travelers accepted only with 2+ years of total experience
• ARRT (N) or NMTCB (CNMT) Certification required
• Active California State License required
• BLS Certification required
• PET certification not required, but PET experience is mandatory
