Solutions Architect (Systems & Storage)At DataVizion, our Solutions Architect splits time roughly 50/50 between presales solution design and post-sales project implementation. You sit with the client, understand the business problem, architect the systems and storage solution, and then you build it. You own the outcome from whiteboard to go-live. You'll be the technical authority on your engagements, with the autonomy that comes with it.What Your Days Look LikePresales (about half your time)Partner with our sales team on client conversations, discovery, and technical qualificationDesign systems and storage architectures that solve real business problems: compute, virtualization, storage, backup and recovery, and cloudBuild detailed technical specifications, blueprints, and proposals clients can actually understandRun proof-of-concept testing and make honest recommendations, including "not yet" when that's the right answerTranslate technical depth into plain language for non-technical decision makersImplementation (the other half)Lead the hands-on deployment of the solutions you designedEnsure data flow and interoperability across the full IT ecosystemBuild in security from the start: protecting data, systems, and infrastructure is part of the design, not a bolt-onMonitor performance post-deployment and make proactive improvementsKeep documentation accurate so the next person (including future you) isn't guessingWhat You BringProven experience as a Solutions Architect or senior engineer with a systems and storage focus (server infrastructure, virtualization, SAN/NAS storage, backup and DR)Proficiency in cloud technologies such as AWS and AzureStrong working knowledge of security, networking fundamentals, and infrastructure best practicesThe ability to juggle multiple projects at once without dropping detailsExcellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills. You'll be in front of clients constantly, and how you communicate matters as much as what you knowLocationYou must live in Nebraska or Iowa. This role involves frequent onsite travel to client sites across the region.
