RN - ICU

ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

This position is located in Idaho Falls, ID. It is for an Intensive Care Unit with the following specifics:

• Number of Beds: 29
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Nights
• Patient Ratios: 1:1, 1:2 (occasionally 1:3 with patients ready to leave ICU)
• Staffing Description: No CNAs, one telemetry technician
• Equipment: Aleris pumps, GE monitors, Edwards EV 1000 and CCO, Primaflex CRRT, Cardiohelp ECMO
• Documentation System: Meditech
• Scheduling Requirements: 3 twelve-hour shifts per week, every other weekend
• Floating Policy: Travelers float first to ED or step down unit
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

Must have:

• Advanced Skills: Vent management, ABG interpretation, vasoactive drip titration, hemodynamic monitoring
• Procedures Performed: Intubations, central line placement, bronchoscopies, bedside tracheostomy and PEG tube placement
• Certifications Required: RN license, ACLS, BLS

Required uniform: Navy blue scrubs

This ICU unit is a general unit located in a level 2 trauma center with an average of 12 years of experience among ICU staff. The unit specializes in approximately 200 heart cases annually and offers advanced procedures such as CRRT, Impella, IABP, and ECMO.
