based in Arvada, CO with one of our prestigious clients.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer / Project Engineer with strong expertise in mechanical design, 3D modeling, engineering drawings, and project execution. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Autodesk Revit , GD&T, tolerance analysis, DFMA, BOMs, and engineering documentation, along with the ability to manage engineering projects from concept through delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop medical device components, assemblies, and mechanical systems in accordance with product requirements, quality standards, and applicable regulations.
• Create and maintain 3D models and 2D engineering drawings using Autodesk Revit .
• Apply GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis, and engineering drawing standards to mechanical designs.
• Participate in design reviews, model reviews, milestone reviews, and technical discussions.
• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, quality, regulatory, and other cross-functional engineering teams.
• Develop BOMs, engineering documentation, and configuration-controlled design deliverables.
• Plan, schedule, and monitor engineering activities, milestones, resources, and deliverables.
• Manage project scope, risks, issues, dependencies, and engineering change requests throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead technical meetings and status reviews with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
• Track project progress and provide regular technical and project status updates.
• Support effort estimation, resource planning, budget tracking, and project performance reporting.
• Ensure engineering deliverables meet quality, safety, schedule, and customer requirements.
• Ensure compliance with applicable ASME, ISO, ANSI, regulatory, quality, and engineering standards .
• Support PLM/PDM processes, change management, and product lifecycle activities.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills

• 7 10 years of mechanical design engineering experience .
• Minimum 4 years of hands-on Autodesk Revit experience .
• Strong proficiency in 3D modeling and 2D engineering drafting .
• Strong knowledge of GD&T, engineering drawings, and tolerance stack-up analysis .
• Knowledge of DFMA principles and material selection .
• Experience with BOM creation, engineering documentation, and configuration management .
• Working knowledge of ASME, ISO, ANSI , and industry engineering standards.
• Experience with PLM/PDM systems and engineering change management .
• Proven experience managing engineering projects from concept through delivery.
• Strong project planning, scheduling, resource, risk, and issue management skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Jira , or similar project management tools.
• Strong stakeholder management, customer communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Experience with project estimation, budget tracking, and performance reporting.
• Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid project methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or equivalent project management certification.
• Experience in medical device, life sciences, or other highly regulated engineering environments .
• Experience working with multidisciplinary engineering teams and external suppliers.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical disciplin
