About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Cardiac experience Strong critical care experience Description: This position requires specific cardiac experience. Candidates must possess strong critical care skills. Advanced skills in PA catheter and hemodynamic monitoring are preferred. Experience with IABP, Impella, and CRRT is highly beneficial. Procedures performed in this unit include central line insertion, Swan insertion, and intubations. The unit is equipped with Hill-Rom beds and Phillips telemetry monitors. Documentation is carried out using a Meditech system. Patient ratios are 2:1, with a total of 32 beds available. Student nurse externs are available as techs. An on-site unit secretary is available Monday through Friday. Scheduling requires 4-week rotations with 3 to 4 weekend shifts each period. Floating to other units may be necessary based on unit census. No specific patient experience requirements are indicated. The department has a growing program for cardiogenic shock patients. There is excellent teamwork among staff members. Staff engagement is highly valued. Nurse Practice Council and Daisy Award recognition are notable achievements.
